This chapter is all about short term fluctuations in the economy – recessions and booms. After reading the chapter what do you think about the current US (or Colorado) economy? Is a recession coming soon? Why or why not? Is the economy in danger of overheating? Why or why not? (This is part of why you take economics — to forecast the future. Economists are notoriously bad at that, but it is still a useful exercise to ensure you understand what might drive changes in the economy.)
I think that as of right now the economy is all over the place with the corona virus that yes we are going into a recession we have so many people whom are unemployed there are very few people working at the moment and this is just essential people that work grocery stores and the people that are here to help others have jobs people are not making money there for this is really going to hurt small businesses that rely on this income. This is one of the big reasons that people are getting checks to be able to help them out from the government to be able to help out people that need it and are currently out of a job, this helps the economy a little bit because people have the money to spend so there is still money going around to keep the economy going.
