- What in this chapter made you think about an economic concept differently than your previous beliefs?
- What new questions do you have now about the US economy based on this chapter?
1. In this chapter I found out that there are so many things that play a part in the economy, I learned what it actually means and according to the text book “economy comes from the Greek word oikonomos, which means “one who manages a household.” ‘ I find this very interesting because it is true and I had no idea that that’s where it was coming from. This chapter talks about the 10 principles of macroeconomics I found it very interesting that within the 10 they fall into certain categories that group them together and they work hand in hand. The three main categories principles fall into are how people make decisions, how people interact and how the economy works as a whole. In the past I have never really thought much about the economy or have even looked at how it works but from this chapter there is a lot I want to learn and it seems very interesting. I learn what exactly marginal cost is and how to be able to find it which is one thing I always wondered how people did.
2. A few questions that come to mind are, how is our economy currently? What are some major possible changes that can happen to it soon? How much will the economy change from last year?
